I started collecting antique and vintage sewing machines about a year ago, and have been hooked ever since my first one - a Singer 66k Red Eye which are extremely rare in the UK as they were only produced in the USA. Since then I seem to be a sewing machine magnet and have anywhere between 10 and 20 at any one time!
I have to confess, I don't really enjoy sewing on them but I find it really rewarding to bring them back to life and find them new homes. I think they are an important part of history, and I love to think of all the people who must have used them over the course of their life.
So, here you can find a selection of my sewing machines which I have restored, for sale. Not all of them can be sewn on, some are just for decoration but I will clearly state on each one along with as much history as I know of each machine.
Collection from Folkestone in Kent is preferred. I can post them but it costs in the region of £20 to courier a sewing machine and there is a high risk of damage. However if you are interested in having a sewing machine posted to you, then please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
