Singer 239 Sewing Machine 1960s/1970s
This striking looking machine is a Singer 239 dating from the 60s or 70s (as if you couldnt tell from that fabulous orange!) It would make an absolutely brilliant display piece for all sorts of settings and for all fans of retro and vintage. This machine is part cast iron, part plastic.
It comes with the original Bakelite foot pedal, instruction manual and all the bits that normally go missing over the years - thread spool holder, bobbin case, and belt. It has the authentic Singer light and motor but the electrics have not been tested and therefore I cannot verify that it works. There seems to be no reason why it wouldn't sew. The body is in good condition and has been cleaned up but with marks and patina in line with its age.
Sold in non working order. This machine comes with it's vinyl case which is functional but in poor condition. Collection preferred from Folkestone in Kent. I can post it via courier, but this is risky as they are fragile and as it will be very well packed I wouldn't be able to accept any responsibility for damage in transit. Postage costs via courier are in the region of £20 in addition to the cost of the item.
